Yes, I have been developing apps since 2017.
What was the most challenging aspect of developing this mobile app?
The previous apps I worked on were mostly text-based apps. This is one of my first apps that mostly deals with media. While starting the project I thought it would be an easy ride but it turns out I would spend most of the time figuring out how to follow Google’s new rules on SAF (Storage Access Framework). Google recently put up this framework to protect users from malicious software so developers can no longer access all files unless an app is a gallery or file management app. Our only option is to access through SAF, which only grants an app access to only one folder.
How long have you been working on this app?
I started working on the app in September 2022 and I released the app to Alpha testing in November. I later released the app to Beta testing in December after significant improvements and launched the app to production on 3rd Feb 2023.
